Kaleb thinks he's SO funny!...and sometimes he IS!

I know I've said before that Kaleb is quite the talk-a-tive type at the dinner table and tonight he did not disappoint!  Earlier today I got a phone call from 20/20 research here in TN.  Occasionally they call me to answer surveys, get my opinion on stuff...blah blah and I can get paid for it sometimes too.  Always a bonus *wink* WELL...this time when they called they wanted one of the kids.  At first they needed Kayleah but then they didn't get her in the system fast enough so then they called and said they needed one of the boys.  So Kaleb is doing his VERY first research study.  And YES, he gets paid for it.

So back to dinner, Kayleah is a little sad she doesn't get to do it.  She was talking to Kaleb about it and asked if he got paid for it.  He didn't know so he asked me and I said yes.  BUT! While I was saying BUT...he was busy hooting and hollering about getting paid...finally he stopped to hear my BUT...I already know how you're going to spend it.  I know I'm so mean.  Not really!  I told him we're going to spend it on something REALLY fun...for EVERYONE!

So then they wanted to guess what it was for.  No, I'm not telling them...or you for that matter.  Not yet *wink* But their guesses where HILARIOUS!  The best one was Kaleb...GOODWILL! That is SERIOUSLY what he guessed.  I started laughing OUT LOUD!  All the kids were laughing and I just kept looking at him like "what?!" and laughing.  So then he explains himself.  He said, "What?! You and Miss Jennifer spend HOURS in Goodwill and you don't buy ANYTHING! You made us stay there once for 2 hours and then when it was all over and we finally got to leave you didn't even BUY anything?!" LOL

I'm ROLLING by now at this, because for one he's RIGHT! We DID make them spend 2 hours there once and walked out with nothing. BUT we weren't there to buy anything.  We were there scouting out the goods for the next days shopping on .99 cent day! LOL

Flashback Friday (that's right people...after a YEAR'S absence)

Flashback Friday #16
I've got a problem!

OK.  So, I was looking back through all the posts that I started and that were still sitting in "edit" mode and found this one.  I originally wrote it back on June 10, 2009.  The only disappointing thing about it is that I never did get around to taking the finished photo picture.  GRRRR...oh well-it's still amusing! *wink* As a side note, can you believe that I went ALL of 2009 without a SINGLE Flashback?!  Man I REALLY dropped the ball on this one!

I've got a problem!!  Aside from being a GREAT line from a song, it's true.  Hello, my name is Hannah.  And I'm a beauty productaholic.  Admittance is the first step, or so I'm told.  For almost 2 years now I've struggled with getting my bathroom closet and cabinets "under control".  Well, for WHATEVER reason I finally did it.  I made myself take out all the crap that was in it, get rid of some...ok a LOT and re-organize.

Feel free to laugh.  But this is what I pulled out of 2.5 shelfs from the closet.
In case you're thinking "did she say 2.5 shelf's?! ...before you scroll back up to make sure you read that right, you did.  I am amazingly good at getting a LOT of crap in a very SMALL amount of space.  That's right.  I can admit it!

And here's what it looks like (and sadly still does) under my sink.

Now I know lots of you have similar situations happening in your bathroom closets.  So I'm curious...what would you find if you emptied yours out?  Here's what I found that was most surprising, in the sense that it was in my BATHROOM closet:

Yep, women's rogaine, a lighter and a sewing tape measure.   Now, the Rogaine isn't too surprising for a bathroom but for MY bathroom-miss Holy Hannah you've got a lot of hair! yes, it's surprising.  What's funny is I remember why I have it!  YEARS ago a friend waxed my eye brows and she took off way more than I would have liked her to have.  Especially on the top-where you should NEVER wax.  Anywho-another friend suggested a while back that I try using rogain to get them to grow back in!  Ya, I'm not so sure it did anything!! *wink*  The lighter....I have NO IDEA?!  And same for the sewing tape measure?!

So after 5 hours of working on it-this is what it NOW looks like.

*see, this is as far as I got on the after pictures apparently...sorry! It did look SO pretty all organized*

So I showed you my closet...let's see yours! *wink wink*

New Discovery

While helping someone create another blog I discovered pages...these are FABulous little tabs that you can put at the top OR side of your blog that are links to another blog page. So just for FUN now I have a page at the top of my blog dedicated to each little monkey of mine. *ENJOY*

Vampire's vs Princess's

Dinner time talk is always interesting at our table. Sarah and Kaleb typically monopolize the conversations...big surprise! Well, tonight Kayleah was miss talk-a-tive. She got a new book last week at the scholastic book fair. Grandma (and Crappa in spirit) took the grandkids to the school book fair and let them each pick out a book.
Kayleah picked out a book called My Sister The Vampire. She has had her nose in it ever since! It's just very fascinating to her. And really can you blame her? It's a book about vampires! When she's older I've got a few she might like! *wink* ANYWHO she was telling us ALL about her book and what's going on and what she THINKS is going to happen and what the story is BEHIND the story...etc. WELL I think Sarah felt a little robbed of her "everybody listen to me" time. LOL!

She waited for the RIGHT moment and when Kayleah took a brake to take a bite of food she jumped right in. She quickly said "Mom Kayleah's book scares me." I asked her why because absolutely NOTHING Kayleah had said would make me think her book was scary. This is where you can tell Sarah is working her brain as hard as she can! She stammered around for a minute pretending to be too scared to tell me...mind you this looks like an actress trying out for a role in a poorly budgeted movie-LOL she really is ALL about the drama. She finally comes up with an answer, "the title scares me."

Really. THAT'S the best you got?! I asked her why and she said "I don't like the word Vampire. I wish that it just wasn't part of our words." My response was something like, ok well I guess Vampires scare some people. Then she got this pouty look on her face and said "I just don't think that sounds like a very good book. My sister the vampire? I think they should call the book My Sister The Princess. LOL!! And I really DID-laugh out loud!
That's my Sarah. MUWAH!
